yeah, i really enjoy the metallics. personally i think it looks good on a lot of them. especially on mandalorian armor. i went with plate mail metal with grogu because i figured he would have the same armor color as his father. ive wanted to piant this mini for a while. i love all of the small detail they put into the 3d print. the small lever topper from season 1 of the mandalorian that he has around his neck and the "children of the watch" style mythosaur skull at his belt.

i was thinking she would make a good Leia proxy. Etsy has characters from spaceballs in legion scale that i was thinking about picking up as proxies. they have Lone Star, Barf, Dark Helmet and Dot Matrix. they would make good proxies for Han, Chewie, Vader and C-3PO

no, i was trying to add some sunken eye shadow with dark shade. it did come out a bit metallic looking unfortunately. in most of the pictures of Darth Malak his eye sockets look a bit dark so i tried to replicate that

I have, actually. I've read the physical copies 2-3 times and listened to the audiobooks too many times to count. I used to listen to them over and over during years of cooking by myself in a kitchen serving breakfast. Also I actually ordered a mini on Etsy of Darth Bane in his orbalisk armor and face cage. I'll definitely be posting him when I get him painted. I kinda went ham ordering legion scale minis recently. I've got Jedi master grogu, Darth talon, Darth bane, Darth zannah, darth treya, Darth Nihilus, Darth sion, Lord Hoth and valanthyne farfalla all ordered on Etsy lol

I like Empire and GAR too but Functionally CIS is currently my favorite. That'll most likely change when the mandalorians come out

I highly recommend playing Knights of the Old Republic 1 at least once. The mechanics are a bit jankey but the world building and story is second to none! My view may be tainted by nostalgia as I played this game for the first time when I was 13-14 but many agree that it is the best star wars game of all time. It certainly came out during the golden age of star wars games. Around the time of Jedi academy and OG Battlefront.

I sometimes play Republic Commandos, and used to play Star Wars Hunters, and that was probably the funnest non-story game, in my opinion.

I also Play Battlefront 2, the EA version.

True, the description of the mini suggests that that it was designed to be the other members of Kuiil's clan who were inspired by him to join the Mando'ade. I therefore painted them to match Din's armor loosely

And on the workbench there's a camtono of beskar further supporting this. I thought it would make a cool addition to my mandalorian army. Perhaps as a non-combatant unit that fixes vehicles.

Indeed, although it seems that the planets original name is no longer on wookiepedia. The website just says that they are from Coruscant. It also claims that "Taungsday" was named for the species in the current canon.

It seems that disney purged a lot of things from the Internet when they bought star wars. Yoda's species name used to be found online as well but they effectively erased it and every reference to it from the Internet.

Because if you ask a fan what the Mandalorians are famous for, they’d probably say for not taking their helmets off, and being mercenaries, but if you think about it, a lot of the Mandalorian „traditions“ were made up by Disney. Absolutely, it's kinda painful to say that I'm a mandalorian fan these days. It takes time to explain that I was a mandalorian fan years and years before the show. It seems most people these days are just superficial mandalorian fans. Some might call them... dar'manda.

By the way, have you gotten a chance to read the legacy of the force series? A few books were written by Karen Travis. Some of them include appearances from some RC series Mando'ade. I don't want to name who for spoilerific reasons.

I have a few of the paper books on a display along with my ultrasaber in my room where I keep my Gaming PC and painting desk but I find it relaxing to listen to audiobooks while I paint personally.

What is their base size? Those basilisks I have, have the base size of an AAT. I actually have 2 more basilisks I haven't painted yet. I could put them on a WL0-5 oval base for tournaments but it might be wise to see what AMG comes out with.

Well listening to an AMG interview, apparently when making your own clan, there is an option to include vehicles from other factions. They gave the example of an AAT, which has a normal sized base. (Meaning you it’s round)

Fair enough, I won't post my cards here. I may post them on Reddit then. I've honestly never been to a tournament either. My buddy has been but I don't know how official those tournaments were. The real tournaments are probably about 3 hours away from here. If I ever do go to an official tournament I'll probably use my basilisk and mandalore the ultimate for proxies and make the rest of them authentic

@bananakin skytrotter next time you read through the RC series, keep an eye out for a couple references to Mandos of this era. There's one reference to Canderous Ordo when talking about a pot of stew in keldabe that has been simmering since he was a twinkle in his mother's eyes. And a reference to Dr Demagol who experimented on Jedi and children in an effort to replicate or negate force abilities. He was attempting to create what he called "Mandalorian Knights" the actual mandalorian Knights were a group of Jedi who viewed the Republic as corrupt beyond repair and defected to the mandalorians during the mandalorian wars. Anyway the reference is when Kal visits a geneticist on coruscant to decipher Ko Sai's data

Your wave effect is really cool! How’d you do it?

I used a hot glue gun to form the hot glue around a paint brush handle on a piece of foam then peeled it off the brush and foam, super glued it to the base then painted it

My cat knocked over my tote holding my minis and shattered several of them, I couldn't find all of the pieces to my basilisk stabilizing fin so I tried to make it look like it was blown off or sliced off by a lightsaber

A friend of mine is helping me with balancing my army at the moment. Were playing a few test skirmishes. I want them to be true to lore. Heavy hitters, heavily armored but largely individual fighters unless rallied by leaders to work together
