True, the description of the mini suggests that that it was designed to be the other members of Kuiil's clan who were inspired by him to join the Mando'ade. I therefore painted them to match Din's armor loosely

And on the workbench there's a camtono of beskar further supporting this. I thought it would make a cool addition to my mandalorian army. Perhaps as a non-combatant unit that fixes vehicles.

Indeed, although it seems that the planets original name is no longer on wookiepedia. The website just says that they are from Coruscant. It also claims that "Taungsday" was named for the species in the current canon.

It seems that disney purged a lot of things from the Internet when they bought star wars. Yoda's species name used to be found online as well but they effectively erased it and every reference to it from the Internet.

Because if you ask a fan what the Mandalorians are famous for, they’d probably say for not taking their helmets off, and being mercenaries, but if you think about it, a lot of the Mandalorian „traditions“ were made up by Disney. The whole Mandalorian TV show made them so much different than the Clone Wars and original movies!

Absolutely, it's kinda painful to say that I'm a mandalorian fan these days. It takes time to explain that I was a mandalorian fan years and years before the show. It seems most people these days are just superficial mandalorian fans. Some might call them... dar'manda.

By the way, have you gotten a chance to read the legacy of the force series? A few books were written by Karen Travis. Some of them include appearances from some RC series Mando'ade. I don't want to name who for spoilerific reasons.

ah, i haven't read the Thrawn trilogy yet. i do have a spare credit on audible right now so i may start on the series soon. i have honestly been taking a bit of a break from star wars audiobooks and have been listening to Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere books.

I read the paper books, since when I paint I listen to Legion Podcasts.

I have a few of the paper books on a display along with my ultrasaber in my room where I keep my Gaming PC and painting desk but I find it relaxing to listen to audiobooks while I paint personally.

at the moment im working on my mandalorian ugnaughts. i just finished painting the base and am taking a break before i dive into painting the ugnaughts themselves. there are 3 that go on one base.

Oh also as of April 2026, darkfire designs has Kal Skirata in 3 different poses. One with him communicating with Ordo I presume. One with his verpine shatter gun. And one with his 3 sided blade and blade wire. Although, I thought he had a regular chain that had the links sharpened and he kept it wrapped around his waist. Anyway it's titled "papa crusader"

Thanks! As the Mando'ade say "cin vhetin" or "driven snow" meaning that it doesn't matter who or what they were or what they did before donning the Buy'ce, they're Mandalorian now.

About 10-12 per mini for singles and roughly 30 for big vehicles or 2 squads and I usually get them from Wargames3D

This is my army so far at a glance. I have a few more miniatures to paint that id like to add. I have a mandalorian wookie and trandoshan that I'm working on for example.

I’m actually specializing that the AA5 Speeder truck is available on the Mandalorian Battleforce, since they don’t have a new vehicle. (Yet)

What is their base size? Those basilisks I have, have the base size of an AAT. I actually have 2 more basilisks I haven't painted yet. I could put them on a WL0-5 oval base for tournaments but it might be wise to see what AMG comes out with.

Well listening to an AMG interview, apparently when making your own clan, there is an option to include vehicles from other factions. They gave the example of an AAT, which has a normal sized base. (Meaning you it’s round)

Kind of like a pirated or hijacked vehicle!

Fair enough, I won't post my cards here. I may post them on Reddit then. I've honestly never been to a tournament either. My buddy has been but I don't know how official those tournaments were. The real tournaments are probably about 3 hours away from here. If I ever do go to an official tournament I'll probably use my basilisk and mandalore the ultimate for proxies and make the rest of them authentic

Not sure yet, I'll have to see what all they come out with. Right now I've made custom cards using tabletop admirals custom cards feature. Still working on balancing but when I get everything done I plan to show off what I've made in case anyone else wants to try running a mandalorian neocrusader army themselves.

My whole mandalorian army is from that era. Most of which are introduced in the Knights of the Old Republic comics

Such as Mand'alor the Ultimate, the Mandalorian Knights and the basilisk war droids

@bananakin skytrotter next time you read through the RC series, keep an eye out for a couple references to Mandos of this era. There's one reference to Canderous Ordo when talking about a pot of stew in keldabe that has been simmering since he was a twinkle in his mother's eyes. And a reference to Dr Demagol who experimented on Jedi and children in an effort to replicate or negate force abilities. He was attempting to create what he called "Mandalorian Knights" the actual mandalorian Knights were a group of Jedi who viewed the Republic as corrupt beyond repair and defected to the mandalorians during the mandalorian wars. Anyway the reference is when Kal visits a geneticist on coruscant to decipher Ko Sai's data

Your wave effect is really cool! How’d you do it?

I used a hot glue gun to form the hot glue around a paint brush handle on a piece of foam then peeled it off the brush and foam, super glued it to the base then painted it

My cat knocked over my tote holding my minis and shattered several of them, I couldn't find all of the pieces to my basilisk stabilizing fin so I tried to make it look like it was blown off or sliced off by a lightsaber

Yep, they're both resin, I bought on Etsy. I've been a fan of the mano'ade since KotOR in 2003. I'm working on building a neocrusader arme complete with custom cards. I intend to post more pictures when I get them based

Most are dark fire designs. I've got a couple basilisk war droids, a few neocrusader squads, mandalore the Ultimate, mandalore the Preserver, Cassus Fett and the Mandalorian Knights led by Dorjander Kace
