I would think the speeder bike would be the knight personally, looks awesome

I think the Bikes should be the bishops, Dark troopers the rooks and Brother/Sister for knights. This is because the speeder bike is super-fast, which screams bishop in chess, the dark troopers are really chunky, but fast, so rook is perfect. And finally, the Brother/Sister is perfect for knight, because they jump over pieces super Sith-like.

Thank you! This is the latest unit that I’ve painted, a normal storm trooper unit. And the very first unit I painted was also a “normal“ storm trooper unit. A.k.a. white. After I finished this unit, I took the unit leaders of both units and put them side-by-side and compared them and… Let’s just say I can see how I’ve improved! Which was encouraging! So to all you out there who are hating on your own work because it’s not as good as others. Stop! You can’t compare your work with others, you will always be worse than some people and better than others, instead compare your work with YOUR WORK!

Also, how did you get multiple photos? I always just combine them in Powerpoint and then screenshot them. Like seen above, they turn out very blurry.

So to answer your first question, yes! I will but I do not currently have basing material beyond “snow”. Second question, I just took three photos, edited them, grouped them together, and took a screen shot of ’em. But unfortunately they are blurry, you can’t see it quite as well on these here because they’re smaller so it’s not quite as obvious.

That is a metallic mixed in with the brown. And no, they are not but they just wanted to do one of the things that everybody else was doing so… They did a pretty good job though! I must say.

I finally got to her! took me forever though... I just got the customizable Imperial expansion and decide to use an extra Seeker droid finish out my Inquisitor!

The troopers!! Fs! The movie (VI) inaccurately portrayed them, they have extremely resilient and tough armor. In fact, if you were to shoot a storm trooper with a modern day rifle, it would not penetrate it. Well, the movie was very inaccurate in its portrayal of how easily the storm troopers were overpowered, it was forced to be because they are the “bad guys“ and have to lose. Storm troopers are extremely smart, they have been trained for many many many many years, they are trained in unarmed combat, and could murder all those spear wielding little furry teddy bears if they needed to.

These are half of purchase that I got off of the Internet, 3-D printed resin minis. Unfortunately, there are only one unit leader and one heavy weapon mini out of the 10 that I purchased. Since I divided it into two units, this unit only has markings to differentiate between miniatures.

I do agree that would look sick, but I think I am going to try and do a football team style on a unit of storm troopers instead. The storm troopers look more football player like with their wide helmets and overall smooth armor.

Well, if you want the short answer, it is that I just dry brushed it. Long answer: I spray coated the miniature with white, then I completely base coated him in a dark blue then steadily increased the brightness of the color and dry, brushed it on layer by layer until I got the desired effect. I also added in some red Ish dry, brushing very lightly onto certain parts of him to give it like depth, and then I added the markings by taping the miniature and painting in between the tape, which I would suggest that you’d be very careful if you do because the tape doesn’t stick super well, and then I dry brush more white on top of it. Really it’s just one giant dry brushed masterpiece! Jk, it’s not a masterpiece! lol

Maybe it's just the strong lighting, but it looks like your didn't shade. Putting some black/dark blue shade in the recesses of the skin would be worth considering.

-socksa- I did a shade and that's what covered the gradient, if you look at the end of the tail there's a faint line of light/dark blue

Go to a craft store like Michael's if you need hobby grass, you can get a little bag of it for $4. Then, go to a pet store like Petsmart. They have coconut fiber substrates for tortoises and reptiles for $5, not too much of it, but it works for minis. I had a tortoise (left him at home when I moved out) and we used some of that for his enclosure so I got some while I was over for my spring break. Mix the two together and you get a nice green-brown combo for dry fields, forest floors, and swamps (put some ardcoat or something glossy on top of the base for a water effect)

Warpaints. Yeah they don't look as good as I wanted them to but their close. They are definitely my fav corps unit I've painted so far (those being only stormys)

the Army Painter Warpaint's Delivered MegaBox is more specifically what I'm using

But yeah, all their armor is is Skelton Bone with a Soft Tone that's all. No highlights.
