Thanks all! Yes it's Griveous' cloak, held up with some rope from a Raddaugh bomb basket. Some canon in Star Wars is if droids go for too long without having their memory wiped, they start to go a bit awry. I figured this would be the case for these Dark Troopers, they've gone too long and eventually too far.

I love the rust effects! Are you using The Army Painter paints?

Thanks! I'm not too please with it myself, with all the paint splotches over the place, but I'm done with it now. The rust effects are with brown pigment dust, applied with brush, but dry.

Well, yes I can see that a bit... When I last used rust was on the IG-series assassin droids, and I tried something just to test it out. That being: For 11 I painted on his base coat of metallic, then dry brushed rust over it... not quite what I wanted... because rust isn't normally on the edges but in all the crevices right, so than with 88 (who is a whole lot more rusted and weathered) I just base coated him in rust, then dry brushed a silver layer over that and it turned out actually really well I think. (FYI If you want to see them I poasted them a while ago so they're a little harder to find)

Their base is so realistic.

How did you do the water? I have a Snail Tank I want to give a watery base, and that water looks rather good. For indeed water is wet.

I want to use this method on my ISP's base, but a more brown muddy color.

Just some contrast colors blue-ish tones. And when it dried added some ardcoat to give it a gloss.

which colors? I only have basilicanum gray and kantor blue.

I can't recall, sorry. I don't write down what I use. Just blue-ish colors.

Yes I bought some "waterslide paper" that's printable and functions like decals.

Just make sure you get for the correct printer. I got for LaserJet when I only have InkJet printer myself. That didn't work well.

Thanks :) When I did this I had no intention of starting with GAR, but now I also have GAR. Luckily the troopers could maybe pass as Clone troopers also. Worse part is the Imperial logo on the other side of the vessel.

Thank you! I was hoping the water acrylic on top would be more diffused, hiding my rough brush strokes below. I will add some more fluid on top, and mix it with some paint, to make it a bit less transparent.

Thanks. The stormtroopers I painted before I glued them in place. Same with the inside of the cocpit, which I regret, since it can't ever be seen unless you point a flashlight into it.

great paint job. The unit card seems fair. Not too flashy, but this thing is fast with the Speeder keyword. It's also unwieldy without Reposition, so you have to be mindful when piloting. Seems fun!

Good question, my son did that detail, and I asked, and it's just a mix of blues and whites. Using citadel layer paint. And paint while it's still wet. He also made sure I glued one of the androids without an arm (just in the back).

I am so doing that with the next droid I build!!
