Ok, found it: it's due to the proportions. This one is 16:9 and apparently TTA forces those in landscape format. I cropped the image a bit and re-uploaded it (see 3 images above) and this time it stays right way up 👍. I'll let this image stay here for educational purposes.

Why is she green and not blue

Tried blue but it didn't work with the colors of her clothing, it just became a bland mix of blues. The Green make ask the other colors pop and gives a better overall aesthetic.

Thanks for the compliment. I meant the cockpit to be a transparent red, but that turned out completely wrong :-(. So instead I modded the pilots - that's them there on the side.

what do you mean by 3D-models?

3d printers require 3d models (or rather STL files) so they know what to print. You can create these yourself, buy them or download free ones from various websites.

Actually, they *are* washed :-) (except for the FX-9 medidroid). But yeah, I just played with them for the first time and I can tell you this set is well worth the money.

It would be cool if you gave me some tips on how to paint like you did those guys, 'cuz they are amazing!

There's not much to tell really, these 4 were all done with standard painting techniques: prime, base, wash, highlight, detailing. Bases and minis where primed (in black) and painted separately. Heads and arms were tested and trimmed for a perfect fit, then painted, then assembled later (this way it's much easier to paint the insignia on the chest of the officer). The droids are both metallic highlighting directly over the black primer with just a few highlights. I gave these highlights a layer in white first before applying the final color to make them more vibrant (did the same with the blue details on the belt and backpack of the communications tech). With respect to coloring I always try to give them some contrast, so not all greens or blues or whatever but contrasting colors. For example, for the communications tech it's the face (pink) contrasting the grey/blue of his uniform (enhanced by the blue dot on his belt). The astromech is a very simple 3 color job with red/black giving the contrast. The medidroid has various small but bright color highlights making the model as a whole more interesting. Finally, for the officer the main contrast comes from the white belt offsetting the grey uniform, augmented with her pale pink face and blond hair. When choosing colors be aware that contrasting colors can still have the same grey-value (meaning that if you make a black-and-white photo you won't see a difference). Your model will look better if you use colors with different grey-values. After fully painting the model they were glued to the base and tufts where added to give the model a sense of space. Never underestimate the power of a good base; it really does wonders for the mini as a whole.
