Oh my! These are the minis I'm looking for! So clean and nice difference in shiny & matte! Good job!

@Bananakin thank you! The black and white units were not hard to paint. They are mostly zenithal highlighting followed by detailing in the blacks and a diluted wash to bring out some details. The base texture is Citadel Astrogranite and some crushed granite from Valejo.

No problem! I'm still looking at these like, "Wow, they look straight out of Night at The Museum!" You should be proud of yourself!
Sooooooooo shiny!!! Royal as in Empereor Palpatine's guards or something else?

I went a bit heavy on the gloss varnish but they look cool on the table. From a lore perspective, I was thinking they would have been an elite Scout unit for the Emperor sent to assist on missions critical to his agenda, or now serving as a remnant force. But ultimately I just wanted something different that I thought would look cool.

Well, you definitely succeeded with that! They look so awesome on the lava/rock terrain!

I see you got the 2.0 Imperial Core set! How do you like Darth Vader?
SLICER10/17 at 14:50
@Bananakmin Thank you! The lava base used Vallejo asphalt/lava for the rocks and Citadel Mordant Earth for the crackle effect.
@The Emperor I bought the new sculpt scouts by themselves. I did not get the new core set.

Ah, makes sense. Although the new Core Set is totally worth it! It could be $400 but it’s only $100!

@The Emperor I agree. The core set is a great value. I already had a unit of scouts, three Vader's, and four units of storm troopers so I decided to just buy the one more unit of scouts. I love the new sculpts except the overuse of tactical rocks.
